Now’s your chance to find out...
Parenting Matters have developed a simple test
that gives you detailed feedback about your
parenting style and the implications for you and
your child.
All parents have their own unique blend of
‘parenting styles’, which simply means we have a
preferred pattern of responses when interacting
with our children. These different styles have
been found to have an impact on how children
respond and develop.

Research shows that there are four main
parenting styles: find out which you are!
What sort of parent are you? Strict, relaxed, indulgent ...

Share your experiences
Find out what sort of parent you are by taking our test and get detailed feedback on your style of
parenting and what it means for you and your family.
 Enter recipient's e-mail:
When you’ve done the test and seen your result (you can always view the result again by selecting the date of your
test(s) from the drop down box above) why not share your experience with others on our Parenting Forum. Click on the
picture or on the Forum link above.
This is a forum for you to keep in touch and swap
ideas and suggestions.
We are often asked by those
who have been on one of our
courses what to do when
these lovely new skills slip
and we return to our old ways
(inevitable at times I'm
afraid!) or when new
problems arise (probably
inevitable also!).
Why not share your comments about how you get on as
a parent - do you catch them being good and not get
reeled in by their minor aggravating behaviour?  Any
funny stories or disasters?
Stuck on any particular skill
or challenging behaviour?
We monitor and make a few
suggestions and prompts on
key issues but you can start
new threads as you wish.
Please participate & enjoy!
